This year the pirates Retreat takes place from 3/04 to 7/04 (5days/4nights in April). The concept is simple: juggling, sharing, training the body, relaxing on the island, and partying for 5 days in a remote part of Indonesia, totally cut off from the outside world. The island is private, the teachers are very skilled international artists specializing in many different disciplines ( Poi, Contact and Dragon Staff, Hoop, Buugeng Manipulation, Staff Juggling, Multi staff, Yoga, Acro Balance…just to name a few!), and the setting is rather like a dream. To keep it simple for guests, the retreat includes everything from transportation, food, workshops, music and adventure.
This very spectacular retreat takes place on a tiny private island called Gili Nanggu, a few hours boat ride from Bali. The island has only one resort with 17 bungalows and they are all booked for the Pirates Retreat, which means the whole island is dedicated to this event exclusively.
These 5 days are all about sharing, teaching, training, and having fun in paradise with a small dynamic crew, surrounded only by preserved nature and circus artists. The resort has different facilities that include a restaurant, yoga room, snorkeling equipment, turtle sanctuary, beautiful bungalows and all you need during this amazing adventure.
There will music, sunset parties on the beach and an international DJ will empower the fire jams and performances at night. Pirates Retreat fire jams are very powerful and well known for getting rid of your inhibitions!
After the 2015 success, Dj Sutekh will be returning on the island as the official pirate DJ for 2016. He has prepared some rather outstanding sets, a mixture of swing, tech, progressive and groovy circus music to keep you spinning and shaking your ass! Also expect ambient, chill, dub and reggae for the daytime and his specialty, psychedelic trance & techno deeper in the night!
This IS a Pirate Retreat so remember: it’s about spinning, going all out, being boldly creative, and sharing with each other in new ways….
.. keep the fire burning!
